Most stores' policy is to card if the
person looks under 30.
Here, anyway.

I remember when i was 25 i was still carded for rated r movies.

I got carded more than once when I was in my 50's.

Around the time of the Gulf War I was 19 and looked extremely young. I met my folks in Las Vegas between tours and went to casino's in my Navy Dress Blues. Free drinks, lots of pictures, and all the gambling I could handle. Later on I changed back into my civilian clothing and was instantly asked for ID...

Same here. I always looks about 10 years younger that I actually was. Funny how when I was younger I hated it when people thought I was in my teens when I was in my 20s. Now I love it when they think I'm in my 50s, or even in my 40s, though I'm in my 60s.

I grew a goatee when I was 21, and there was someone who said he thought I looked like I was in my 30s.. I thought that was a little odd, so I shaved my goatee. I'm in my mid-40s now, I have a goatee again (which I've had since I was 30), and people have been saying I look younger than I am for a while now.

Some white hair started appearing in my goatee about 5 years ago though, so perhaps peoples' perception of my age will change again.. though I don't have much white hair on top of my head yet, and I haven't really started going bald yet..
