    There's SyncDraw:
    https://syncdraw.bbsdev.net/

Is there a way to include syncdraw as part of the compile with sbbs?

For Linux? Running 'make' in src/syncdraw seems to do just that.

    Thanks Digial Man,

    Yeah I'm using linux/ubuntu now.

    /repo/src/syncdraw
    make

that did make where the binaries landed in: /sbbs/repo/src/syncdraw/gcc.linux.x64.exe.release
    buildfont
    fontutil
    syncdraw

What I'm trying to do might not be possible. But trying to get syncdraw to be part of the Xternal programs for the bbs.

Given synterm, syndraw, are in the repo, maybe there was a way to include them with the sbbs build.

    Don't forget about SyncWall ;).

Although I still haven't figured when that gets cleared. Is it daily?

You want a remote (ANSI) BBS user to be able to run SyncDraw? I don't know if it was designed for that. Probably a question for Deuce.

    Yeah that was my intent.

Mostly for me, but for anyone else within the system.
A couple days ago I went to the link https://syncdraw.bbsdev.net/ and clicked contact, that took me the developers board, as guest I sent a message asking if the person has the time to send a message over here.

I want to be able to login to my board and try and work on my ansi and ascii screens.

Okay but is that really a good feature for a user?

Just curious, but... why? Why the need to be logged in to work on them?

Can't you just work on them offline and upload/update after making
    changes?

If the user can create ansi art right on a BBS, seems like a nice feature in a BBS to me.

In my case when I'm not at work, all my computing is done via ssh terminal, not using a GUI so being able to just login via syncterm, or ssh to the BBS is why I'm hoping to integrate syncdraw into the synchronet bbs (my instance).

If syncdraw was within the BBS terminal then using ftelnet where the wss ports are not blocked, I could also work on the BBS syncdraw while remote.

Of course doing it the other way is possible, but I don't think that is really the issue.

There are lots of ways to get news, gopher, messages, emails, multitudes of things outside of anyone's BBS.

BBS operators want integrations, that make their boards unique. In this case I think the way to look at it is not via a justification of can't you do it another way, but rather is it possible to do it via the BBS through its terminal services interface.

If always can't you do it another way; which I do a lot of, then nothing enters into the BBS terminal as a feature or service.

I think syncdraw via the BBS terminal services would be a neat feature similar to /meme , the avatars, ... etc.
