    I am not sure who is gating some of the echoes to FIDO specifically.

    While I don't think it's you doing the gating, your point address in your origin line for this echo on your test system probably isn't helping the matter.

    Unless you actually posted this to FSX. Then there's an issue, since I'm reading this in the Dovenet Help area.

    Yeah, I suspect there will be an issue with this one also. I am posting
    here, via QWK, and I think there is a bug-a-boo in the local/user REP upload process that is causing that. I will look into it.

    Wierd. The "Hey Mike!" isn't something I write manually. It is the first name grabbed from the "From" field of the message I'm replying to. So part of it was right, not sure why it was addressed to Robert.

    I don't see an issue with this one. Your BBSID is correct, and the only thing at the bottom of this message was your QWK tagline, which would be correct.

    Addressed to me this time. Must have been some anomally. I will blame that same anomally for my broken origin lines. ;)

    On this end, I think I accidentally introduced some regression issues but I think/hope they are fixed now.

    Yes, since we had moved from computer tech to speaking about dovenet I
    thought it was more appropriate.

    Maybe VERT is populating those headers when there are none, as you mentioned. What was the software that wasn't working sending?

    It was (accidentally) inserting an FTN address (from fsxnet) into the OADDRESS header field. Certainly not correct, although I have no idea why it would cause replies from you via NNTP to show up as to you. I am also not
    sure what all that might have caused a downstream system to put in the QWK headers, either, so that could explain it.

    That has been fixed.
