• Binkd or Allfix? FREQ Problem...

From Martin Kazmaier@1:340/1101 to All on Thu Apr 23 12:26:00 2026
    I'm getting...

    + 22 Apr 05:40:23 AFIX ALLFIX v6.1.000 02-Feb-19 17:08
    # 22 Apr 05:40:23 AFIX Command : Rp -SRIF c:\ele\irex\outbound\000c0000.srf
    ! 22 Apr 05:40:23 AFIX Invalid SRIF file: c:\ele\irex\outbound\000c0000.srf
    # 22 Apr 05:40:23 AFIX RP: FREQs [0 ] Service [0 ]
    % 22 Apr 05:40:23 AFIX Nothing to do (14:32)

    And my binkd command is:

    exec "@start /min c:\\ele\\allfix\\bink.bat *S" *.req

Any ideas, or something else I could try? A different FREQ processory maybe?

I've had multiple people send me freqs. My netmail reader is identifying
    them as file requests.

I am not a freq expert (I don't have it enabled here) but maybe some who
are might want to see what is in those srf files?

They don't exist. Or if they do, since they're in outbound they
    automatically get sent out.

You can create the files for your freq processor. Here's an example:

test.req (file created by the sender. This is the file that arrives at binkd): ***
    files
    nodelist
    _7i_009o.jpg
    ***
    One request per line.

File test.srf (file passed by binkd to the freq processor)
    ***
    Sysop Angel Ripoll
    AKA 2:341/200@fidonet
    Baud 115200
    Time -1
    RequestList test.req
    ResponseList test.rsp
    RemoteStatus UNPROTECTED
    SystemStatus LISTED
    CallerID Ullr
    SessionType OTHER
    ***

An example of output file might look like this in my system (this is created by the freq processor):
File test.rsp (response file containing what will be sent. This file contains what is sent to the sender, one per line)
    ***
    +/path_to/03410066.z02
    +/path_to/nodelist.002
    +/path_to/_7i_009o.jpg
    =/path_to_where_the_pkt_is_generated/695ff5cd.pkt
    ***

What you need to do is run the test.srf file from the command line. The freq processor reads the test.req (RequestList file) file and generates the test.rsp file (ResponseList file).

    I hope this helps.

    Un saludo,
    Angel Ripoll
