I'd like to know how they are going to manage that. They
say you don't need receipts, just let them know how much
bread you bought over a 20 year period (until 2021).
That's ridiculously wide open..
Now that I think about it, I may not be eligible anyways.
It seems to only cover their own no-name bread and Weston
Foods products and I usually buy Wonderbread..
But.. no receipts required, so.. B)

I was in Canada in 2017 and bought at least one loaf of
bread at a store in Terrace Bay. I wonder if I would
qualify? :D

The form asks you to name a brand of bread you bought recently.

If you paid in $US you really got ripped off... B)
No I had plenty of colourful, cool Canadian plastic bills to pay with. Some Loonies and Twonies, too! :D

That is what I thought but, since they are worth $2 Canadian, I assumed they were Twonies. ;)
The form asks you to name a brand of bread you bought
recently. I don't buy as much bread anymore, and I never
really recall the brand - especially the european sourdough
ones. So.. I wrote "noname bagels".
I wonder if bagels were covered, or did they show it as an option?
Any indication how much they are refunding per item? Do
they ask for a number of them you likley bought over the
time period?
I doubt I'll do anything with that. Legitimately I
shouldn't be able to claim much and it just seems not
worth the effort.

The use of "Loonies" for the 1$ coin was cute, since it
features a loon on one side.
But I've never grown fond of calling the $2 coin a twonie or a
toonie. The coin has a polar bear on it.
I doubt I'll do anything with that. Legitimately I

I did not initially think it would be worth it either. But then
I thought if the majority of Canadians think that way, my
payout could be larger! :D

When I look at our money, it reminds me of a cartoon (loonie tunes) anyway :-)
But you get extra points for adding the U to the word Colourful.. B)

I always fill these out when I come across one. Spending
5 to 15 minutes filling out a form can bring in some good
money, especially the Microsoft class action that got me
$250. I think the least I ever I got was an etransfer for
$6 & change.
So.. I suppose you filed for this bread one?
I seem to recall that it mentioned max payout of $25. Or.. do
you remember it as minimum payout $25?
When the toonie came out I was in favour of calling it a "Doubloon">for "double loonie" but it didn't catch on.
I wonder if bagels were covered, or did they show it as an option?>have you purchased. It doesn't suggest *that* is the bread
No options. It just asks at the very end what bread product
There was a line there that seemed to indicate that minimum of>$25 is to be expected.
Is there room to put in more than one product?

Might be worth the effort then.
A while back my Bank offered a $50 gift card..
... and then I forgot all about it..
... but one of them was Home Hardware, so I chose that one
and have since used it, so that worked out pretty well.
I seem to recall that it mentioned max payout of $25.
From the CBC article about it:
"Customers who bought bread between January 2001 and December 2021 and did not
previously take a gift card from Loblaw will eventually receive up to $25. If there is still money left over after that distribution, funds will be divided among anyone who claimed the gift card."
If you didn't get a Loblaw gift card before, you'll now get up to $25.
If you already got the gift card, you won't get that $25 again, but you might still get a share of any leftover funds after the $25 payments are made.

It still sounds confusing. Why do they say "up to $25" and then suggest that>e funds would be greater "if there is money left over"?
The funny part of this (where I started) was, a couple of days
later in a convenience store parking lot I ran into that same

he was really friendly, like I was a long lost friend.. B)

Aside from being drunk, he doesn't sound like he fits the profile of>"Florida man" that we hear so much about. :D

I did that.. and I see.. Hard to believe that's only in Florida.. B)
It sort of reminds me about the joke about the often final words of
a man from (?) Georgia or Alabama I think it was originally..

I heard this was something to do with privacy laws. In Florida, I think it's easy to see and publicize what anyone was arrested/detained for. Something lik
that.

My guess is it works for other states, too, but Florida may get picked on
Come to think of it, stories about "Louisiana Man" might, too. :D

LOL, there could be a tagline or two based on that one.
