    I'm not fond of the vid "shorts" mechanism. The player doesn't
    provide a way to roll back a few seconds. You end up watching
    then over and over in their entirety if you've missed a small
    portion in it.

    I'm not fond of the vid "shorts" mechanism. The player doesn't
    provide a way to roll back a few seconds. You end up watching
    then over and over in their entirety if you've missed a small
    portion in it.

    I am not, either, but unfortunately a lot of creators are being forced to
    post shorts in order to get views. The "long form" content, which looks
    like it wasn't shot on a phone, has been de-prioritized by YT in favor of
    the short form, amateurish-looking content.

    A couple of my favourite creators have gone to shorter form content, which
    is unfortunate but I understand why.
