Title: Thermos Cooked Wheat

Yield: 8 Servings
1 1/3 c Whole wheat kernels
2 2/3 c Water
1 ts Salt
This recipe is for a 1 quart thermos bottle. Halve the recipe for a 1
pint bottle.
Soak wheat for 8 to 10 hours.
Drain water into a saucepan; add salt, bring to a boil.
Add wheat and bring to a brisk boil.
Have thermos bottle heated by filling with hot water that is then
discarded.
Fill thermos bottle with boiling wheat. If necessary, add enough
boiling water to come to neck of thermos bottle. Make sure there is
air space in the neck of thermos bottle.
Place stopper in thermos bottle and screw cap on securely.
Lay thermos bottle on side; leave for at least 8 hours.
Note:
For breakfast cereal, put wheat to soak the morning before. Place in
thermos in the evening. Wheat will be cooked and piping hot for
breakfast.
