    Hey, guys, did you hear that Canonical will not use Unity as a standard desktop

    environment? They said that Ubuntu will use Gnome. Looks like it will be Gnome 3.

    yeap, heard about that a month or two ago...

    They said that Ubuntu will use Gnome. Looks like it will be Gnome 3.

    not sure which gnome it will be but 3 seems reasonable... it doesn't really matter much to us as we generally use KDE ;)

    Yep. It was announced about month ago.

    They said that Ubuntu will use Gnome.
    Looks like it will be Gnome 3.

    As I know they will switch to Gnome Ubuntu distro.
    I install it on my laptop some weeks ago (after announce) and try to live with it.

    Looks like not bad alterative.
