Are there how-to guides we can coach someone as they work through?

Ummm... not always and again much documentation and even YouTubes are woefully out of date.

When I set up my first personal mailer the documentation was arguably better, and that was in the 1980's.

Wondering if some of the BBS packages also fuction well in a Point use case?

Thank you - I am thinking there is a space for a more contemporary solution. While I could follow what you've done, I am loath to guide a newbie through wrap-arounds and elmulations.

Perhaps we lack a KISS level option?

Sure they do; at least Synchronet and Mystic would be fine. They could
just be set up with a point network address and get mail from whomever.
I know of several people doing that very thing.

sdf.org which is a safe one.

Did you find a reader? I'm working with the developer of binkterm-php

I like it but have had a few self-induced issues. Author is open to feedback and adding features.
