I have to admit that the scams are getting better and better at evading setting off the BS Detector.

For me, it's easier. I'm so far off mainstream. If I get an email
"Your Apple account is being closed! Fix it now! Click here!" I can laugh and delete it.

They keep tricking my dad with the commercials on TV like:

"Medicare Recipients: Get dental and hearing aid coverage at no extra cost."

and

"Get life insurance for as low as $10 per month guaranteed."

He always wants me to call for that crap, but I keep telling him "they're full of crap."

I get it, and my dad is totally MAGA, but he's not up to date with so many details. Is that common among elderly people? I don't think they care about small details, and they like to keep things simple.

Having dealt with my elderly parents, ya, I think it's common. It just takes more effort for them to do things so they let some things slide just because they don't have the energy.

The mistake I'm making here is the same mistake the left makes all the time: they're just people. Some pay attention to details, some don't.

But I can say this much for sure: elderly people have seen more than me. This isn't the first time they've had a good president, so it's less of a big deal to them. Plus they've been burned more times than me.

Yea, it's happened to me before. They want to get the last word in, and they want that last word to be a distraction. But they ignorantly forget who they're trying to fool.

I've noticed this too. My dad for example. He's MAGA, but he won't vote. He don't care for that exact reason. But he has kids and grandkids, which makes it a bad excuse.
