    Dear Ada Community,

The Ada User Society is pleased to announce the creation of the Ada User Awards. The goal of the Ada User Awards is to encourage community contributions to the Ada ecosystem and to improve its tooling, libraries
and language support. The aim is to drive more and better contributions
by fresh or experienced Ada programmers alike, and create a thriving
ecosystem with a healthy number of young developers and users while
working on long standing needs and widening Ada’s reach to other communities.

The Ada User Awards are steered by an Awards Committee, currently
composed of Fernando Oleo Blanco, Tucker Taft, Dirk Craeynest, and
Jeffrey R. Carter. The committee will identify an initial set of
projects considered of high value to the community, but will also
welcome suggestions for other useful (open source) contributions (for compilation, utility tooling, libraries, etc.). Once a project has been completed, the candidate contribution will be screened by the committee,
to verify that it meets the criteria for a monetary award offered by the
Ada User Society. The Ada community at large is encouraged to voice
their ideas for projects that would benefit from such an award. To this
end, please submit your comments, views, and ideas within the Ada-Lang
forum at forum.ada-lang.io [1] under the “Project Ideas” category. The awards will be made on a rolling basis, where once we have a critical
mass of project ideas, we will announce the set of projects identified
for awards, and an associated deadline for each.

The Ada User Award is kick-started with a modest fund; additionally, we happily welcome further funding by institutions and individuals. The Ada
User Society would like to encourage you to take part as a member of the Society in order to further support these activities and the wider Ada community. With your cooperation, we will be able to support more
    projects and fund more development.

    Hi Nicolás,

I do understand your frustration. If you would like to propose
something, please, reach me over at my email and I will post your
proposal in the forums. We decided to use the forums as they allow for categories and discussions, plus they are a bit more user friendly with
the newer generations and public too :)

    Best regards,
    Fer
