Thanks for this, and Simple Components.

I have been wanting to package Simple Components for FreeBSD for sometime
now, and started to get around to that today, however, I decided to start
    with Strings_Edit.

I am not sure what your intentions are with packages for Unix systems. Is
the idea just to package up the program text and avoid any building, or
    avoid host integration altogether?

On FreeBSD most of the Ports utilising GPR Tools will use gprbuild to
build all the artifacts listed in the project resource file, and then use gprinstall to install the built artifacts, however, I noticed that the --ali-subdir switch to gprinstall is not honored, and the .ali files are installed in the same place as --lib-subdir. On FreeBSD .ali files should installed in ${PREFIX}/libdata/${package} to respect hier(7)[1], and then
this is reflected in the generated .gpr file for consumption by other GPR projects.

Is this because no library is built, and only object files are built/ installed?

The program text is installed in the correct location tho.
