• Any examples using 'tudiagram'

    Hello out there,
    looking for a tool to draw flowcharts I was pointed at 'tudiagram', a
    package or rather a suite of packages in 'tclutils'.
    I am somewhat overwhelmed and don't know where to start. A tutorial or
    at least an example of its use could help ...
    Any link will be greatly appreciated

    Hello Helmut,

    # readme.md install
    # tcl::tm::path list
    # tcl::tm::path add path/to/tclutils/lib/tm
    # tclutils/examples/demo-tuflow.tcl
    # documentation in
    # tclutils/docs/tuflow.md and tudiagram.md

    set here [file dirname [file normalize [info script]]]
    package require tclutils::tuflow

    set src {flowchart LR
    A[Start] --> B{Decision}
    B -->|yes| C[Done]
    B -->|no| A
    }

    ::tclutils::tuflow::writeSvg $src [file join $here flow.svg] ::tclutils::tuflow::writePng $src [file join $here flow.png] -scale 2

    -----------
    The directory tclutils/lib/tm must show up in the output of
    tcl::tm::path list. Under it is tclutils/ with tuflow-0.2.tm, tudiagram-0.4.tm, and the other modules. If that directory is missing,
    add it with:

    tcl::tm::path add C:/path/to/tclutils/lib/tm

    best regards
    Gregor

    An often recommended package for flowcharts is Graphviz https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphviz

    Not a Tcl based app, but it can output Tk canvas commands to draw, in a canvas, the diagram described by the input language.

    There are lots of examples available online for GraphViz showing how to
    draw different types of diagrams.
