    Believe it or not, some critical portions of GNU/Linux
    are still undocumented.

    Example: GCC instruction scheduling.

    But writing detailed docs does take a lot of effort and
    GNU/Linux is developed largely by volunteers who cannot
    be expected to bust their asses 24/7.
