If there is one place in the world which should be wary of muhammedans,
it's New York. Sadly, they have the attention span of a goldfish and
already forgot who was responsible for the worst attack on the country
since Pearl Harbor.

He's an idiot, he thinks all Muslims are responsible for a well-financed
and highly trained terrorist group hijacking planes here. He needs to
stop being an intellectual infant.
Is Mamdani’s victory the basis for a strategy the Democrats can adopt
as a party? Opinion seems divided <https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/mamdanis-mayoral-election-lead-has-withstood-republicans-establishment-democrats-and-wall-street/GULKPJ3FBJAENJIVGSC3RVJZXY/>:
Aspects of Mamdani’s campaign that some thought would doom his
candidacy - his vociferous criticism of Israel’s actions in Gaza,
his past calls to defund the police and his refusal to flee from
the political label of socialist - haven’t turned off a plurality
of New York voters, despite a torrent of campaign spending from
some of the city’s wealthiest residents.
Instead, the 34-year-old assemblyman’s campaign - with its focus
on core economic concerns combined with an online charm offensive
and occasional searing barb at his critics - is working well
enough that some political observers see a model for future
Democratic candidates and races.
“His campaign is not really about him,” but hammers on the theme
of lowering the cost of living for average New Yorkers, said
Amanda Litman, co-founder and president of the non-profit Run for
Something, which recruits new progressive Democratic candidates.
“He really clearly answers the question why voters should want him
to win.”
Yet Mamdani’s ideas for how to lower the economic burden on
working-class and middle-class families - including through tax
hikes on the wealthy and rent freezes - have generated a current
of fear among other Democratic politicians and operatives.
They argue that what voters might find appealing in New York won’t
carry Democrats to victories in the congressional Midterms next
year or the presidential election in 2028.
To somebody who lives in a multiparty democracy, the idea that there
should be any doubt about adopting a winning strategy to win again
just seems bizarre. But then, the USA isn’t a multiparty democracy, is
it? It’s two broad coalitions, each a hodgepodge of factions with ill-defined agendas, and the main aim of each is not so much to
benefit the people, as to take power from the other.
We take it for granted, in a democracy, that the good of the country
should come before your allegiance to any particular political party;
but in the USA that is seen by many as crazy talk.
Interesting comment in another news report: the things Barack
Obama was falsely accused of -- being a foreigner, being a
Muslim, and being a Socialist -- Zohran Mamdani freely, proudly
and unapologetically admits he is.

The right-wingers were trying to fabricate a bogeyman out of Obama, to put voters off;
with Mamdani, that bogeyman has not only come to life, he’s
actually popular with the voters.

without any hope of protection.

Obama was responsible for the racial/sexual/religious division we are
seeing today.
If anything, the right should have pressed harder in
warning people about the monster Barack Obama turned out to be.
Obama
was also responsible for getting rid of the Smith-Mundt Act which
prevented press agencies from freely lying to the public.
That caused
many agencies to omit details or purposefully interpret events
erroneously to push an agenda.

Who was the conservative alternative being offered to New York voters?
I'm making this prediction today once again: within ten years, New York
will be no different than London is with muhammedans freely intimidating
or attacking the public without any hope of protection.

The issue with Obama was they accused him of being things he was not, but would not matter if he was.
We have MANY people who are religious in government. So Mamdani is. OK. So what? Welcome to America where you have freedom of religion. And being a "socialist", what policies of his are controversial? Wanting what pretty much every other "modern" nation has and ensuring we all have reasonably good health care? Wanting the ultra-rich to pay their fair share... as they did in the past and when the middle class was stronger? Wanting better education? Wanting a better economy for all? Wanting affordable housing? Wanting us to listen to evidence on climate change and base policies on the science? All of these are very popular positions.

Mamdani inspires people. Even with another pseudo-Democrat in the race,
he won convincingly (admittedly, Cuomo had baggage beyond most). I
think people will be happy with this outcome. A younger but very bright person can bring something new, to NYC's local politics. I see in him a genuine rising star, like AOC who I believe will run for president and
win, next time.

Stop talking bullshit. Don't you see that it's ICE who violently
hurt and arrest civilians all over the US? It already resembles

I say go with science, other reputable evidence, logic, and focus on the environment and equal rights for ALL.
Most people say that makes me liberal. OK.
Seems to me it makes me SENSIBLE!
