Yes, that's right, I deleted Win11. This time I remembered to cancel my auto-renewal of Norton, in 2023 I paid for an entire year which didn't
get used at all, after I'd switched to Linux so drugged out it didn't
occur to me to cancel it. I downloaded Debian 13.1 and updated some
backups, and finally figured out how to get the boot menu on this
device, which I'd done before but didn't remember the method. Using
Cinnamon, as usual.
It's clearly much faster than Win11, which wasn't that bad considering
the CPU (Intel N150, four core four thread), but why put up with the
minor deficiencies, it's all too easy to overwrite Winblows with a
stellar distro.
