  • More Microsoft Product Quality Deterioration

    From Lawrence =?iso-8859-13?q?D=FFOliveiro?=@[email protected] to comp.os.linux.advocacy,comp.os.ms-windows.advocacy on Sat Mar 7 04:59:05 2026

Seems like even Microsoft’s Azure cloud service is not untouched by
the ongoing quality problems at the company. This is being blamed for
various recent outages at GitHub, to the point where a large outfit
like OpenAI is looking at setting up its own code hosting, instead of
relying on the Microsoft-owned service <https://www.tomshardware.com/tech-industry/openai-building-github-alternative-after-outages-disrupted-engineers>.

And those forums are usually for the issues caused by the operating
system itself and the software it bundles. People forget that there are
even more issues if you bring in the third-party stuff.

I ask everyone on this forum to be honest with my most recent
(inevitable) issue: what excuse do the supporters of Linux have for why
a third-party program would break starting at 1.17.8 and remain broken
all the way to version 1.18.3 across every distribution while the same programs works as expected on proprietary operating systems? Is it
hatred? Is it a company's decision to intentionally sabotage its own
    program?
