Again: how did you get to that conclusion?

You find it easy to accept the “conclusion” that macOS users must
be less fun-loving than Linux users?

This all ignores that what is considered "fun" is a deeply personal
    definition.

We are specifically talking about the fun to be had with using a
computer. Games are not exclusively what that is about, but it is a
big part of it. And Steam has established itself as the sine qua non
    of PC gaming.

Even then, gaming is only one use, and it takes up time that could be
used for other activities. The fact that computer gaming is such a big
thing says nothing good about where society is headed.

    The irony...

Gaming to run up a score is a waste of time. Just my opinion.

I actually agree with you with the last part. While gaming has spared me
from the extremes of any depression I might have faced in my youth by distracting me, there is no doubt that it distracted me from putting as
much effort into my studies as I could have. The fact that it has become
so expected of men to game is troubling.

I guess so is watching a fiction movie, or reading a fiction
    novel.

I was surprised to see I hadn't played any _Elite Dangerous
Odyssey_ since April 4th. So I started a new colony in
    the North American Nebula today.

And then there is litRPG... I couldn't get into that genre. Anna Mocikat
has a cyberpunk series, 'Behind Blue Eyes' that I enjoyed. 'Cybersquad' is sort of a spin off where game testers are troubleshooting a 'Behind Blue
Eyes' game that gets into game mechanics but that's a little different.
