• Serious Question. Are Apple users brain damaged cult members?

    From Denny@[email protected] to comp.os.linux.advocacy,comp.sys.mac.advocacy on Fri Apr 17 19:53:04 2026

Reading posts in these groups it seems that Apple attracts users with
    more money than brains.
People like Alan, Brock and others go on the attack whenever a fault
or missing performance link is missing from an Apple product.

Both are short on brains but apparently have a lot of scratch in order
to purchase Apple devices. So what gives?

I actually see Alan and Brock as the exception to the rule. Most Apple customers are dullards. They are actually techy.

Being as you mistakenly thought that Microslop blacklisted you from being
able to reinstall windows over something you wrote that you thought they
took personal issue with...Along with thinking you fucked up your tv with
your video card...Oh, and switching back and forth between windows and linux everytime you get stuck...Snit couldn't even diagnose a failing hard drive
    on his own gear.

Snit didn't know the difference between a soldering iron and an engraver. He shared a picture of two engravers lumped in with a few soldering irons which were in very bad condition. He's so techy he doesn't know how to take care
of his own damn tools. That is, when he knows which tool is which.. Btw, one of the engravers still had it's sticker present clearly labeling it as an Engraver. Brock aka Snit is very well known as a tech fucktard.

Alan was a fucking riot. He thought he could just boot his computer from an external drive and continue using it if the soldered SSD dies. He cannot do so.

Your logic does not make sense. In general, and within countries, the
smarter you are the higher your income. In my experience people with
high incomes do not spend much time on "techie" pursuits like who has
the best computer OS. They do spend time on doing things that increase
income. Items like running companies, managing investments, education
(formal and informal), dreaming up transformational innovations, etc.

otoh the techie types that create the tools they use to increase income
often don't give a shit about income. If you score people by how much

People like Alan, Brock and others go on the attack whenever a fault or

Both are short on brains but apparently have a lot of scratch in order
to purchase Apple devices. So what gives?

Your logic does not make sense. In general, and within countries, the
smarter you are the higher your income. In my experience people with
high incomes do not spend much time on "techie" pursuits like who has
the best computer OS. They do spend time on doing things that increase
income. Items like running companies, managing investments, education
(formal and informal), dreaming up transformational innovations, etc.

otoh the techie types that create the tools they use to increase income
often don't give a shit about income. If you score people by how much
money they make I feel sorry for you.

You logic makes no sense either.

There's ample examples of people who aren't particularly motivated by opportunities to make more money, so your point isn't unique to IT jobs.

Nor am I aware of any evidence that this behavior is correlated to be
more common at higher levels of intelligence, which seems to be what
you're inferring: is this your intent? If so, is it just your opinion,
or do you have any actual evidence of there being such a correlation?

If you score people by how much money they make I feel sorry for you.

Not what Tommy was saying: he was saying that there's a general trend
that a higher intelligence tends to correlate to greater income. That's
the general trend for which your first point was noting an exception to
    that rule.
