Did you know LibreOffice is well suited to writing screenplays? A key
part of this is ability to save a document in Markdown format, while
LO Writer itself maintains WYSIWYG layout.

Can your favourite office suite manage this?

Based on the size of code it should be already self-aware.

Seems like a cool feature. I wonder how many screen writers use this instead
    of more dedicated tools?

    You wonder?
    Of course you do snit.
You wonder how many people will reply to your worthless post so
you can hammer your stakes in the ground and start up another
    snit circus.
Why don't you just fuck off.

Almost surely Carroll. He’s been in one of his tantrums for some time. I’ve not been reading his posts so he uses socks.

Why reinvent the wheel? If you're using Linux, just download the Trelby AppImage and you're good to go. Or, if you want Fountain format, use Emacs with Fountain-Mode. Or use WriterSolo or several other free screenwriting applications that work with Linux.

But it is nice that Writer now supports markdown.
