    I have a faster CPU, four-core but with multithreading. Win11 is
    performing nicely. Planning to repurpose the previous one as a device
    for a friend who's without a PC.

    You should try it out with Linux Mint and see if it's faster and then
    report back here on the performance tests and let us know which OS is more responsive.

    That would be a pretty good public service to provide.

    I was thinking I'd put Debian on it for him, but then again maybe Mint
    would be the one to use, I dunno.
