As I remember this case, the victim had provoked the guy into
attacking him, I understand that the conviction could mean the
reaction wasn't justified legally, it doesn't mean the guy's some

The reaction was 100% against the law. The jury/court gave him a break >because of his age.
His actions are enough to show he is violent.
