Imagine if the Blue states stopped giving "socialist" funding to the Red.

Lower-income red states would face immediate fiscal crisis —- their Medicaid, infrastructure, and social services are dependent on federal transfers
(largely from Blue states). Some couldn't maintain basic government functions without significant tax hikes or cuts to services their residents actually
use.
