I watch movies occasionally. The theater requires no-cash methods. Today
I looked in my email and had a letter from the theater. How did they get
my email address? Twice I put my phone number into their membership ask,
and it told me both times I'm not a member nor in the membership list.
Not saying this is the reason, just that it's another detail to think
about in this project.
I had a mobile notary come to sign something with a mobility impaired
senior. I wanted to pay cash, but couldn't come up with the exact
change, and he did not have change himself. So I charged it, but I
needed a receipt for the senior. He took "my" email address and sent a
receipt to me.
I used a unique email address for the transaction, as is my style. "
[email protected]" (where I have a wild card collector).
The next day I used that card at a coffee shop and the transaction ended
with "receipt emailed". It was sent to the <foonotary> address.
I reported the card as lost to the bank and got a replacement.
Separately I started the process of getting my information deleted with
the POS card service provider used, Square.
