• ublock "ads, trackers, coin miners, popups"

as a long-time windows user, ublock origin has turned out to be the
most useful browser extension ever (others also helpful, e.g. clear
cache, etc.), even tor browser added ublock by default owing to its
    essential usefulness and popularity

as ublock's site https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock describes itself:
    ...
blocks ads, trackers, coin miners, popups, annoying anti-blockers,
    malware sites, etc.

planet earth has ever been a highly predatory environment, governed
by "them" as even the bible and other ancient texts, histories, etc.
have universally attested that "they" are the terrestrial predators, genetically separated from the servient taxonomic genere or species

but ublock origin works great. . . the tiny icon displays unfolding
block counts on typically intrusive domains, and click the icon for
a quick summary of the ever-increasing tally:
    ...
    <#url>
    blocked on this page
    # (#%)
    domains connected
    # out of #
    blocked since install
    # (#%)

i find that some websites quickly show hundreds and into thousands
of blocks, especially on pages with streaming content, movies, etc.
(the global "ignore" filter is usenet's simple adaptation of block,
which you can selectively "watch" or "killfile" at your discretion)

Ublock Origin also works great on Android devices. I have it installed in my
Firefox browser apps on most of my Android toys including this Amazon Fire
Tablet. I also use a JavaScript on/off extension which also works well on
many of the sites I frequent at getting rid of the trash...
