    Let's just get these out of the way. We got one good game and two
    stinkers; that's a 33% success rate. Hey, that beat's Sturgeon's law
    by 23%!

    * Nocturnal
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1634080/Nocturnal/
    This one doesn't look too bad; it's a side-scrolling
    platformer with decent looking art that vaguely reminds me
    of the old Prince of Persia games (albeit uprezzed). Reviews
    are positive too. It is a perfect game? No, but for a freebie
    it doesn't look too bad. I might actually give this one a try.

    * Aeonic
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/3277530/Aeonic/
    A text-adventure with AI art and a shitty story.
    Conceptually interesting (travel through time helping to
    shape important decisions in human history) it just goes
    to show that you need actual talent --and not just
    limitless computational processing-- to make a good game.

    * SurrounDead Poly Construction https://store.steampowered.com/app/4148570/SurrounDead_Poly_Construction/
    "An open-world survival survival adventure game where
    players will solve puzzles, collect items, and defeat all
    enemies to reach the end." It's Early Access and already has
    14 paid DLC packs available for it, and looks like a typical
    asset-flip game. Again, the core conceit of the game doesn't
    look too terrible but neither does it have any originality to it.
    I think there's potential for this game... if it had a
    different developer.

    I agree with Spalls, Nocturnal does not look bad. You must have worse
    than that one in your library by this point. I know I do.
