    * Out of Sight
    https://store.epicgames.com/p/out-of-sight-b96ca8
    Stop me if you've heard this one before: this Indie game
    features a young child who sets out on an adventure through
    warped-but-mundane locales and faces off against horrendous
    monsters that will rip her limb-from-limb if caught. It
    features lots of running, jumping, and simple puzzles. A lot
    of the game is cloaked in shadows. Any of this ringing a
    bell? It's not that "Out of Sight" lacks original ideas
    (for one thing, it uses a first-person viewpoint instead
    of the typical side-scrolling viewpoint a lot of these
    Indie games utilize, and the protagonist can only 'see'
    through the eyes of her teddy-bear, which she need not
    necessarily be holding). But the central conceit has just
    been so overdone that it makes it much harder for me to
    take interest. That said, the game looks well done, and
    even somewhat interesting. I just wish it wasn't using
    the same old tropes.

    * TerraScape
    https://store.epicgames.com/p/terrascape-2b12b1
    Part city-builder, part puzzle game, this casual game
    has you placing tiles that alter the landscape that give
    you different bonuses and limit where you can place the
    next tiles. It's not really a new idea but it's peaceful
    ambience and colorful visuals are calming even as the
    complexities of the game slowly build up. I don't know
    if it's a game with much longevity, but for as a palette
    cleanser between more 'serious' games, it lools neat.

    Not a bad selection, for free games. Not the most exciting either, but
    they both seem playable. The Number ticks ever upwards. Thanks Epic.

    See you next week for more freebies!

    I took it, but odds are low I'll play it.

    * TerraScape

    Meh.

    Aside from the complaints I already issued, it reminds me a lot of
    "Beyond Eyes", which features another blind girl wandering around. The
    rest of the premise was rather different beyond that point, but it
    -again- made "Out of Sight" feel redundant.

    To be fair, the 'using a teddy bear as your eyes' concept sounds
    interesting, since you can leave it behind and then you play yourself
    from third-person, or point teddy bear so it's facing backwards, and
    similar. So it potentially is a good game... but it does suffer from
    looking very similar to dozens of other, earlier games.

    * TerraScape
    https://store.epicgames.com/p/terrascape-2b12b1--

    Meh.

    It reminds me of "Pan'orama"; similar basic idea. Not too bad, but
    it's fairly casual. I don't mind games like that (especially if
    they're free; I don't think they're worth it if you have to pay for
    them).

    The bigger problem is both games are on Epic Game Store. EGS is great
    for incrementing The Number upwards, but don't like using it to
    actually play games with.
