I was unaware you lived in France. (the developers are French ;-)

Different strokes for different folks, these games. It looks like a
cartoony Eliza to me, but it seems well made for what it is. It's
text-heavy too, and I'm always a fan of a game which makes people
write more. Although the LLM connection creeps me out.

You've probably driven through my state in your 18 wheeler! :-)

I really have to take a break from Gothic Remake but I am in this area
that I can't take a breather. Middle of Chapter 5 I guess with the
    Orcs. Tired of it!

Then I really want to try the Ford thing with ATS!

I've put aside the "Road Trip" expansion to ATS for a while. It's a
nice idea and I can't deny that I had fun with it, but it does seem
half-baked at the moment. Then again, so was "American Truck
Simulator" when it first released, and now it's one of my most-played
games, so I'm optimistic "Road Trip" will grow into its potential
    eventually.

But unless you have an overwhelming need to drive a Ford 150 pickup
/right now/, I wouldn't buy the expansion *just yet*. Between the lack
of content, general lack of polish, and bugs it's not quite 'there'
yet. Once SCS Software adds more cars (and more customization options
to those cars), adds all the 'Road Trip' markers still missing from
the other 15 (out of 21 available) states, and hammers out the more
egregious bugs, it'll be great. But I'd wait until then.

I think the visitor center has stuffed ants in their display, along

I assume the ants (and other insects) were just dried/preserved and
not stuffed. You can bath them in alcohol and then pin them; because
their exteriors are (mostly) hard-shelled exoskeleton chitin, this
stops the decomposition and preserves them quite well.

I mean, how the hell would you stuff an ant?

Is this because there is so much interest in ants now, for some

I guess I'm still curious why exactly ants are considered intelligent.
Maybe the study was biased and the ant just got lucky when it appeared
    to recognize its own reflection.

Because intelligence is associated with team coordination/loyalty --
not that the latter is required necessarily to achieve the former, but
the inverse is accepted as universal truth -- the coordination cannot
    exist without intelligence.

Ants coordinate and work with each other out of some intrinsic magic
that I'm not even sure science really understands. Look up "army ants
bridge" on youtube to understand what I mean. They just lock onto a
goal without having to take time to even communicate about it and get
    shit done.

It's for the same reason I always enjoyed coordinated teamplay in
competitive online multiplayer games. Working together at scale
requires an IQ level not guaranteed to be present in all gamers.

There are SO many simulation ant games now.

Is this because there is so much interest in ants now, for some
reason, or is it because the computer-using ant-demographic has grown
to a size that can no longer be ignored by video-game publishers, do
    you think?

More likely one developer made an ant game that did passably well and
    everyone else copied it.

    Maybe a furry ;-)

A furry ant! Like some sort of hybrid ant and beaver? Is this a sign
    that the beavants are returning?

Velvet ants? No, those are wasps (aka cow killers) that look like furry ants: https://duckduckgo.com/?kl=us-en&q=velvet+ants.
