    While the 4683 has MCA internal, it has no external MCA slots.

    The 4693 DOES have MCA slots on a riser.

    The 4693 has the unfortunate star-crossed background of being a former
    IBM cash cow -AND- support was sold to the nice folks at Toshiba.
    Nothing new to the PS/2 community. Documenting the 4693 is akin to "one
    yard and a cloud of dust"...

    Looking forlornly for 4693. The 177w PSU is totally undocumented, not
    even a P/N or FRU. Standby Battery or extended duration battery, unknown construction [NiCds].

    Pinout for battery pack? If we could find a dummy battery pack [4693-202 remote units] we could findt out how to bypass the need for a real
    battery pack.
