From the very dark recessed of my mind, I thought these Scitex RIPs ran
    AIX for PS/2 ?

I've seen Scitex branded RS/6000s so that must have been the upgrade path.

One interesting thing is the i386 and i286 visible on some of the
    special cards.

Complex NOT seated correctly! Blue locking lever on rear hinge is NOT
fully aligned. The complex seems to be bowed. I'd say chances are good
that it can be unhooked, edgecard insertion czeched, then press the
complex in until it seats, then return the blue levers down.

Nobody has either filmed the correct complex seating or taken
feelthy-feely explicit photos. Now you see why I have asked for images
    on seating a complex.
