• Hate Windows 11's vibe? Make it look more like Linux or MacOS -here's how

Why not just scrap it and run Linux on the hardware, or just buy a Mac? That’s what we’re doing at the office; certain machines which must run Windows due to legacy software are going to stay on Win10, and will be moved to the secure network with no connection outside the building with the other legacy Windows systems (XP and Win7). All other machines will be running
linux or will be replaced by Macs. Over time the legacy machines will die
    off, and good riddance.

We had a look at Win11 and decided that it was just a bridge too far. MS made it easy by insisting on idiotic hardware restrictions; nearly half of our Win10 systems could not run Win11 without an unsupported hack of some sort, and we felt that if we were going to have to pick between being unsupported
on Win11, unsupported on Win10, buying new hardware, and going to Linux, we were going to Linux and any new hardware would be Macs or run Linux.

    Sayonara, MS.

I prefer Linux in an abstract way, but Win11 is just plug-and-play, so

Then again, once I got used to Linux I found it better for my

Why do you waste valuable seconds in responding to that boorish
degenerate? Why? Don't you receive enough excitement in your
    life?

The only thing he/she does with his/her computer is just start
it and stop it. That's all. In between there is nothing. This
    freak is a monumental fraud.

Get a life and forever ignore this loser.

By the way, since this is cross posted, Winblows 10/11 is pablum

platform, to me "support" is a joke, I'm not bone stupid, but of course Windows is what more people use and more people tends to mean more dumb.
Mac users are dumb in a different respect, they like being treated
like sheep by Apple, but they have intelligence in how they use the Mac,
the Windows user is the one calling the 800 number for "tech support"
from the OEM or MS, depending how they got their license, it's pathetic.
So yeah, Windows requires more support because more people use it,
    congrats, you are a brainiac.

Hate to say it, but it's almost as if you've become a "concern troll".

I hate to say it but you talk about "concern trolls" too much. What the
fuck is that? How am I doing anything but just telling you what I'm
    doing with my device? Sheesh.

Why do you continually switch back and forth from Linux and Windows?

I don't "continually" do that, but I can use either OS to the same
effect, I'm not a retard that way.

As the one actually doing the support, I can tell you very confidently
that it has NOTHING to do with the "types of people".

The exact same "types of people" us both platforms.

I switch between Win 10 and macOS; I even have a Win10 VM on my main Mac. Is this somehow a problem too? I also have a Ubuntu VM on the same machine, and switch to that sometimes. Is this a problem?

I use applications to get work done. Mostly that’s Mac apps, but some are

Of course it's not a problem. What I was referring to, and Joel knows this, as to why when he switches he adopts the OS, whatever OS, as super great and then offers up the lukewarm comment that the other OS is good, but his latest switch is better.

He's done this several times, on hardware so it's not like he has
2 machines and moves between the two.
It's just an observation and others have noticed the same.
