The 2025 OS runs, albeit slowed by badly outdated hardware. So, 16 years
later a 2009 MacBook runs what was at the time of this video the latest
Mac OS version.
Getting updated apps to run on this old machine is going to be a long
term issue due to the M series versus Intel hardware.
There are quite few videos showing a wide variety of older Macs getting
OS upgrades long past Apple end of support. The process is remarkably
similar to installing Windows 11 on computers that do not meet
Microsoft's hardware requirements.
