• Hogwasher update?

Does anyone know if any update to Hogwasher newsreader
to a Silicon app is planned? If not, due to an ending
of Rosetta support, I guess it will stop working with
MacOS 28, so I may have to turn off automatic updates
when I get to MacOS 27 to avoid losing access to my
multi-year Sent folder, which I’d rather not have happen,
especially since google groups archive is no longer
    being updated.

I’d gladly pay for such an update.

I’m asking on here since Hogwasher tech support
didn’t get back to me when I reported a non-fatal
error on Tahoe using Rosetta, but maybe I will
try them again if nobody on here is in the loop.

    Does it support IMAP?
If so, you can migrate your posts to a networked inbox.

Yes. Or at least there was a plan about this time last year. At that time delivery time was expected to be Sept 2025. This has obviously passed. I have no idea how far work has proceeded, if at all, on Hog v6 or whatever it will be called, or of any delivery time. The last time an update was needed, it took years, so don’t hold your breath. I rather suspect that Kurt Spaker doesn’t depend heavily on income from the Hog and isn’t pushing it hard.

Me too. Send an inquiry in using the ‘Product Feedback’ item on the Hogwasher menu. If Spaker gets enough inquiries he may actually release a new version. Depends on what the problem is, of course.
